OUR HISTORY

Relec Switchboards is a privately owned Australian company. Relec Switchboards was founded by Norman Emerson in 1983. Starting up in as shared premises in St Leonards, Relec Switchboards quickly grew & moved to Artarmon. Manufacturing high quality switchboards & providing service second to none, the business continued to grow and is now located in Asquith in Sydney’s northern suburbs. With an eye for detail, Norman built Relec Switchboards into a well known and well respected switchboard manufacturing company and has been listed as a preferred supplier in many standard specifications. Norms legacy continues today with strong family values in how Relec Switchboards operates.

OUR PROFILE

Relec Switchboards operates with around 30 full-time employees involved in sales, administration, design and manufacturing. Most of our employees have been with Relec Switchboards for many years, we also look to the future with continued training of staff and by taking on apprentices each year to help meet our requirements for skilled tradespeople into the future.

 

As a completely independent company Relec Switchboards can supply equipment from a range of local and international suppliers to meet the standard and requirements of individual customers by providing the most suitable and cost-effective equipment to match the specifications of each project. Relec Switchboards has a strong focus on Australian manufacturing, sourcing as much of its materials & components from local suppliers as possible.
